Below are frequently asked questions and answers
General
Q: I need to complete intake. What should I do?
A: The Lancaster County Adult Probation Office, located at 40 East King Street, Lancaster, PA, is currently closed to the public with the following exceptions; If you have had a guilty plea hearing and been sentenced at the Court house, you must immediately report to 40 E. King street for intake.
If you already have an assigned Probation Officer, please call 717-299-8181 and ask for that Probation Officer.
If you do not already have an assigned Probation Officer, call Probation Officer Rose Paltan at 717-295-3643 if your last name begins with letters A-L or call Probation Officer Matthew Diaz at 717-517-5285 if your last name begins with letters M-Z. Probation Officer Paltan or Diaz will provide you with further instruction.
Q: I am a Megan’s Law Registrant and I typically report to the Adult Probation and Parole Office at 40 E. King Street to update my registration. What do I do now that the building is closed?
A: As a Megan’s Law Registrant, you are still required to comply with registration requirements. You can still comply with your registration requirements and update your information at the following:

Q: I have an appointment scheduled with my Probation Officer. How should I report for that appointment?
A: Your Probation Officer will contact you by telephone or email to conduct your scheduled appointment or provide you with alternative instructions.
Q: What should I do if I need to change may address and/or telephone number between now and April 14, 2020?
A: Please contact your Probation Officer by telephone or email with the new address and/or telephone number.
House Arrest With Electronic Monitoring (EM):
Q: What do I do in the event that my house arrest ends during the closure time?
A: Please contact your probation officer to schedule a time to report to 40 E. King Street to return your equipment. Please make sure to bring your base station, anklet and power cord when you report.
Q: If I am having EM equipment related issues and need to speak to someone, who should I call?
A: During regular business hours, please contact the office phone number at 717-299-8181 and ask to speak with an EM officer. After hours or weekend/holiday hours, please contact the on call EM officer at 717-419-3205
Q: If I am having difficulty reaching my Probation Officer about EM schedule related issues, who should I call?
A: Please contact 717-299-8181 and ask to speak to a duty officer.
SCRAM:
Q: What do I do in the event that I am completing a period of SCRAM supervision and need to have my anklet removed?
A: Please contact your Probation Officer at 717-299-8181 and they will make arrangements for you to report to Vigilnet at 36 East King Street, Lancaster, PA to have your anklet removed. Please note that you MUST contact your Probation officer PRIOR to reporting to Vigilnet for any removals. Vigilnet must have approval from your PO prior to the removal of any anklets.
Q: If I am having SCRAM equipment related issues and need to speak to someone, who should I call?
A: During regular business hours, please contact the office phone number at 717-299-8181 and ask to speak with your Probation officer. They will make arrangements, if necessary, for you to report to Vigilnet to have your equipment evaluated.
Q: How can I make a payment on my fines, costs, & restitution while the Adult Probation & Parole Services building is closed to the public?
A: Payments can be made in one of three ways.
- Online at https://ujsportal.pacourts.us/ePay/Default.aspx. There is a link on the APPS CEU page also.
- Mail check or money order to:

- Dropbox at 40 E King St. Payments should be placed in an envelope with your name and another identifying piece of information (DOB, SSN or docket number).
